I believe in providing effective, high quality ground training that goes beyond the minimum requirements and provides practical real world advice based on experience. Many flight schools are focused at flight training first and provide ground training as an ancillary service. My philosophy is that a comprehensive ground training program should be just as important as your flight training.
What We Offer
Phil Seizinger Aviation Training specializes in providing effective, high quality ground training and offers quality flight training through partnerships with highly trained and qualified flight instructors and flight schools. Together we are committed to providing you with the best training possible that goes beyond the basic requirements to help you achieve your goals.
Where We Are Located
Phil Seizinger Aviation Training works in partnership with several training facilities located at the Oakland County International Airport (PTK) located in Waterford, Michigan. The airport is located on the corner of Highland road and Airport road. In addition, our ground schools are also offered online allowing you to participate and interact from virtually anywhere.
Since I started my flight training in late 2002 I have accumulated 1,000 flight hours and have had many adventures flying across both the US and Canada. Each year you can find me on both the Michigan Air Tour and the Canadian Interprovincial Air Tour.
I am an Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor as well as a Commercial Pilot with Airplane Single Engine Land, Multi Engine Land, and Instrument ratings. I'm also a partner in 1978 Piper Seneca II.
I'm a member of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE), a member of the board of the OCIA Air Fair responsible for hosting the Oakland County International Airport Open House and Air Show, President of the Michigan Aviation Association, and I was the Tour Director for the 2009 and 2013 Michigan Air Tours. I provide children with disabilities the opportunity to experience flight through the Dreams & Wings program where I am also the “Air Boss”, and I fly Christmas presents in my airplane to children in foster care in Michigan through Operation Good Cheer. I'm also honored to be able to participate in the Veterans Airlift Command which provides free flights to wounded veterans and their families to and from medical treatments.
I live in southeast Michigan, where I work for Hewlett-Packard. I am available to provide instruction on weekends and in the evening hours during the week.
